Tanzanian Diadem Family: Nymphalidae (brush-footed butterflies).
 
Geographic Distribution: Africa. Northeast Tanzania (Usambara Mountains).
 
Wingspan: 90-110 mm.
 
Larval host plants: Urera spp., Laportea spp.
 
Habitats: Tropical forest.
 
Identification: Black forewings and hindwings, with patterns of blue and white bands and spots.
